Bossman - Lovely Alien | music video created by Addison Kwaigroch in 2017

Starting in 2017, I was in a band with Jason Risdana called Bossman. Bossman started as a response to the budding music scene at Northwestern University, which we thought was stupid. We played several live shows during our time as a band, and would often incorporate theatrics and costuming into our performances. Everyone loved us!

Almost all our music was made in a roughly 8-week creative burst in 2019, all of which was recorded straight to tape without any post-production work. Jason generally sang and played keyboard through my “briefcase rig”, which was a modular grouping of various homemade electronic instruments, including a custom glitch sequencer and a circuit bent drum machine. The briefcase rig took me four years to build, and while we exchanged ideas constantly, we really only practiced about five times. Most of the music below is representative of our later output.
